Initiatives
As an anthropologist and artist, I remain committed to serving a heritage continuum through Afro Diaries™, an ongoing auto ethnographical, collective and research project, Grace and Graffiti™, a well-being and humanities landscape and my former non-profit organization Project Witness. This work is reflective of my life service and my visions for the future.
Afro Diaries™ is an ongoing auto-ethnographical, collective and research project by, for and about women, providing international residencies and workshops. As an artifact Afro Diaries is archived at three United States educational institutions. They are Goddard College, (Eliot D. Pratt Library), New York University (Bobst Library) and the University of Miami (Special Collections).

Art Transforming Trauma
Integrating my roles as artist, activist, educator and researcher, Art Transforming Trauma demonstrates the critical and transformational influences of art as holistic, healing and empowering tool for individuals in the private, public realm, intergenerational communities, arts, cultural and education institutions. Given the intersecting layers of generational traumas (emotional, mental, physical, psychological and spiritual), artists like educators and activists have a responsibility to instigate dialogue while advancing methods and approaches in using art as a restorative justice tool and measure to transform trauma.
